Stand Alone Alarms -
The two- and ten-point alarms we offer are typically used in conjunction with 550 Series pressure switches to provide visual and acoustic signals. The alarms feature an illuminated green lamp that indicates standard operating conditions, and a lamp and horn check button that allows for self-checking. When one or more alarm signals are triggered, acoustic and visual signals are emitted.
Emergency Shutdown Systems -
Helping you maintain a maximum level of safety is one of our top priorities. To do this, we offer a series of emergency shutdown system controllers that can be used in a wide variety of applications and can be tailored to fit your operations.
Diaphragm & Miniature Needle Valves -
The 533 Series diaphragm valves can be used as the primary on and off control in high purity or corrosive gas systems. With its spring-less design and low-wetted surface area, these valves minimize particle generation and entrapment. Their unique design allows for low torque operation with gas flow in either direction. As a standard we offer a ¾ turn, while on other systems a ¼ turn directional valve is standard.
We also offer the 500 Series miniature needle valves that are machined from brastock and are offered in brass, nickel-plated brass, 316 stainless steel or Monel®. They’re designed for fine flow control in a variety of applications in the chemical and petroleum processing industries, laboratories and hospitals. With ground and polished stem and Teflon® packing, these needle valves are suitable for controlling the flow of liquids or gases from vacuum to 3000 psig.
Excess Flow Shut-Off Valves -
The FS Series Excess Flow Shut-Off Valves are designed to automatically shut-off a gas line if the flow exceeds a preset limit. The valves are commonly used as a safety device to protect a system from excess flow in the event of equipment failure, or to protect personnel and property in the event of a line rupture. The capability of operating from 10 to 3500 psi allows them to be used in both high and low-pressure applications.
Check Valves & Relief Valves -
Check valves ensure that gases or liquids flow in one direction only. When used on the outlet line of pressure regulators, they prevent back flow of fluids into the regulator. When used in cylinder pigtails, they prevent gas flow from one cylinder into another on the same manifold. They also stop atmospheric air from entering the pigtail and manifold when a cylinder is removed. These check valves are bubble-tight against any backpressure.
Relief valves are commonly used downstream of pressure regulators to protect the regulator, pressure gauge and downstream system from over-pressurization caused by a regulator failure. When properly installed, they may be used with hazardous gases because they have 1/4" NPT outlets that permit vented gas to be piped to a safe disposal system.
Compression Type Tube Fittings -
Compression type tube fittings are the most-commonly used in gas handling systems. Suitable for high-vacuum and high-pressure applications, they require no special tools, soldering or welding for installation, and can be remade repeatedly. They are available in both brass and Type 316 Stainless Steel.
Pipe Fittings -
Pipe fittings are typically used to join components together in a gas handling system, such as a flowmeter to a regulator, or installing a relief valve. They are also used in systems that have been constructed using rigid pipe instead of tubing.
Cylinder Connections -
Cylinder connections are used for connecting various items of a gas handling apparatus, such as pressure regulators or pigtails, directly to cylinders. The actual connection depends on the gas in the cylinder and is designated by a three-digit Compressed Gas Association (CGA) Number. Cylinder connections consist of a CGA nut and CGA nipple and in some cases a washer for sealing purposes. We offer cylinder connections in a wide variety of configurations and materials to fit your application.
High Purity Flexible Hoses -
The 316 SS high-pressure flexible metal hoses are designed for strong, safe and flexible operation in demanding specialty gas environments. With zero permeation characteristics, these hoses do not allow gas or atmosphere to pass through their walls in either pressure or vacuum applications. These hoses are ideal for flammable, toxic, high purity and small molecule gases.
For oxygen services where particle impingement failure is a concern, Monel® high-pressure flexible metal hoses with Stainless Steel outer braiding is ideal. The SS braid is more economical and allows for higher working pressures than a Monel® braid.
For hoses that are constantly handled and flexed, armor casing protects against kinking, braid abrasion or stress at the end fittings. The smooth surface also provides additional handling protection for operators and the capability to support a 600lb. load under tension.
Flash Arrestor -
The 8491 Series flashback arrestor offers four safety devices in each unit. These devices protect against flashbacks with mixtures of oxygen or air and flammable gases such as hydrogen, acetylene, methane or LPG gases. The design includes a built-in no-return valve to stop reverse flow, and a thermal shut off that stops gas flow in the event of a hose or pipeline fire. An easily re-settable pressure control alerts the users and stops gas flow in the event of a flashback greater than 10psig backpressure. The 8491 Series arrestor offers high flow capacity making it suitable for a broad range of applications.
Gas Heaters -
The model SG6500 gas heater is designed for use with either carbon dioxide or nitrous oxide to prevent regulator freeze-up under high flow conditions. Installed between the cylinder valve and a suitable regulator, the heater warms the gas stream to allow for flow rates up to 160scfh without regulator freeze-up.
The model SG7500 electric heater is designed for use with nonflammable liquefied compressed gases to prevent regulator freeze-up and to assure uniform temperature under high flow conditions. Connected between the cylinder valve and a suitable regulator, the heater warms the gas stream allowing for flow rates up to 1000scfh without regulator freeze-up.
Start-Up Kit & Moisture Indicator -
The carbon dioxide (CO2) SFC/SFE start-up kit is developed to eliminate the chance of gas contamination before use. Built for situations where the CO2 cylinder is within eight feet of the instrument, such as mechanical freezer backup, the system is simple in design and focuses special attention on the components that will come in contact with your carbon dioxide. Elastomers and polymers have been completely eliminated as they can degrade gas components. To further ensure system integrity, the kit is cleaned with super critical fluid carbon dioxide.
Gauges -
The 550 Series gauges allow you to monitor pressure in your systems or can be used to replace cylinder gauges. They are 1/4" NPT bottom mount for convenient mounting, UL listed and cleaned for oxygen service, ANSI B40.1. Common scales are PSI/KPa and PSI/Bar.
For 4000 Series regulators, we offer gauges in 2” diameter brass or 316L stainless steel. For 3000 Series regulators, the gauges come in 2” chrome-plated brass with or without 316L stainless steel wetted parts. For 2000 Series regulators, 2 1/2” chrome-plated brass gauges are used.
Cylinder, Dewar & Tonner Scales -
The series of cylinder scales we offer are used to measure the weight of liquefied gases under pressure liquid in a cylinder. Accurate and reliable weight measurement enables the gas measurement system to maintain the high product purity you require.
